Hi — I'm William.
I own Modern Touch Construction. I'm also the one who shows up, does the work, and answers the phone when you call about it 6 years in.

I started Modern Touch in 2020. Before that I spent years running machines on other people's jobs, watching pads get signed off a half-inch out and culverts dropped in at whatever depth was quick. You don't see any of it on day one. You see it the first hard rain.
So I built this to stay small on purpose. I'm not trying to run six crews. I take a handful of jobs at a time and I'm on the machine for all of them.
Most of what I do is grading, excavation, and driveways — plus the drainage work that usually turns out to be the actual problem. If it's something I can't do well, I'll tell you and point you to someone who can.

How I work
Four things I hold to.
You get me on the phone
Not a receptionist, not a scheduler. If I'm on a ladder I'll call you back that evening, but you're never handed off to somebody who doesn't know your job.
The quote is the price
I'd rather spend an extra twenty minutes measuring than surprise you at the end. If something genuinely changes, you hear it from me before I do the work — not on the invoice.
I'll talk you out of things
Plenty of jobs don't need what people think they need. If a smaller fix gets you 90% of the result, I'll say so. I'd rather do a small job right and get the next one.
It gets cleaned up
Every day, not just at the end. You're living in the house while I work in it. That should be my problem, not yours.
